Told by many Indigenous peoples, the story of the The Three Sisters is a great example of sustainable agriculture.
As it is not my story to tell, I will instead point you to a wonderful resource from New World Ideas. Here you will find a video telling of the story by Lance Guilbault, teacher and storyteller, whose spirit name is Awinigaabo ndizhnikaaz, that is Anishinaabe, “The Fog or Mist That
Stands Alone/The Standing Fog” and whose clan is the Golden Eagle, Ginew ndotem, the Ginew clan.
On the New World Ideas website, there are links for teacher resources and books. One of the books is the curricular resource for The Three Sisters.
